Make Money Online By Building An Empire

You need to build an online empire if you want to make money online no matter what your product or service is. Your service can be as simple as displaying Google advertising ads on your site and receiving a commission on the clicks that you receive.

There are other less attractive ways to make money online but building websites with targeted content and displaying relevant ads on those sites is the easiest way to build a passive income online. The easiest form of monetization is using Google adsense and building your sites around this leaves the door wide open for other forms of monetization.

To be specific, the ads displayed on your sites, or site need to be relevant to the search terms that brought the search visitor to your site. If this is not the case than you will be wasting your time trying to make money with Adsense from Google.

Now getting to the basics of building your online empire. There will be much work long before there will be any results. You need to start and build blogs, and websites targeting the keywords to the niche that you are focusing on. The strategy is to develop sites with good content relevant to the keywords that you are targeting.

There are many free blogging services available for doing this. Just as a note, it is easy if you really do it, but it does require "real" time and effort. Time and effort determine weather you make money or do not make money.

An online empire can be created with blogging sites like blogger.com, hubpages.com , squidoo.com,  today.com and probably other sites that I have not even heard of yet. Just as an example, you create a blogger blog about world of warcraft leveling guides, obviously you may not know anything about these leveling guides so you will have to do some research.

After performing your research you can write some great articles about world of warcraft leveling guides. You will not want to copy and paste other peoples articles as this is called (in simple  terms), theft, so you will want all your articles written uniquely by you or outsourced to a quality article writer so you can be sure you will be posting quality unique content.

No matter which niche you are building an empire on, you will have to be patient and work hard to get these sites built up with some authority. You can submit articles to ezine articles, and other article directories with a back link to a page on your site from the authors resource box.

You will want to be sure and hyperlink the keyword text of the keyword back to your page of choice on your site, so you get the keyword benefit. Doing this wrong is the main reason so many people are still out there not making any money online. Your breakdown of time spent in my opinion will be about 10% of the time writing articles and posts and 90% of the time getting anchored text back-links to your site.

I have learned from some damn smart people and I am attempting to pass on the knowledge. I could be much farther ahead than I am today if  I would have just listened and put it into action. I have been waiting for the time to get right or something like that. I have wasted an entire year chasing the make money dream when I should have been building it.

The time is never right, you just get doing it, it seems to all work out amazingly enough, before you know it you have niche sites on the front pages of the search engine results for your targeted keywords and like Wa-La, you are making money online, that is if you picked a profitable niche.

If you are wondering how you will make money with a website, it is important to know where you are going, that way you know what steps to take to get to that point. As an example of this, say you build a website about monkey butt covers, ok, I bet you get ranked very quickly for the keyword and probably have front page position.

Lets see how many times Google gets searched for that keyword just go here and type in the keyword,  Google AdWords: Keyword Tool

And here are the results, Google says there is not enough information , which basicly means there is no searches for that term. This would not be a make money online site. But if you look at the results, Google also gave a few more keywords ideas that might be something to  look at but not for me right now. You will never run out of things you can promote.

Then we can search, let's say, insurance quotes and if you notice there is a large difference in the amount of search traffic that this one search term gets. And just imagine if you were on the front page of the serps with these keywords, and say you were gettng 25% of the proceeds from Google Adsense.

Working on a niche like insurance quotes is a worthy cause, but you will have your work cut out for you, and that is where the goals, patience and determination playes a role if you want to make money online.
