Scribe SEO And The SEO Copywriting Experiment
Scribe SEO is a software that claims that seo copywriting is mystifying and it helps solve the problems that writers face when using it's analyzing features.
Here is a link to my first post about Scribe SEO and why you don't need any $27.00 or more per month software to write seo copy.
In this post you will learn about double indented listings, the importance of keywords and something about Backlinks
Then we will see results of Scribe SEO in action and also add to the results of this experiment.
After… I want to hear what you have to say!
Double indented listings get more traffic. Here is a screen shot of a double indented listing. In this screen shot the double indent is a post page and a tag page.
The goal and outcome of this experiment is to achieve a double indented listing for two post pages using the keyword "scribe seo". These two pages that I am targeting will be my previous post and this post that I am writing now about scribe seo.
To achieve this is I will link to my previous post from this post with the anchor text "scribe seo" and then I will link from my previous post back to this post using the same anchor text. And "Wha-La" I will achieve a double indented listing, fingers crossed, that's why it's an experiment. Really! this result will happen because actual organic SEO is predictable and that is a good thing .
Of course it is very boring and methodical (tedious) and also there will be a few other things involved to help with actual search results positions,……like back links. In other words..(it does not happen overnight in most cases!).
Keywords are the words that describe what your page is about. Without using the correct keywords when you write the search engine may not know what you are writing about.
Not all keywords are created equal, some can hold a monetary value when you rank for them, others won't. If you do not understand how to find profitable, useful, customer getting, keywords in your market then you may never have much success in your market. Here is the best post I have read giving you a definitive explanation of keywords .
Just because some keywords are highly competitive does not mean you can't target longer search phrase keywords in your market and build your site up around those keywords and over time you will develop strength for the more competitive ones.
As part of my experiment……
I signed up for a trial subscription to Scribe SEO because of all the fuss that has been made over whether it is a beneficial tool or not. I did an analysis of my previous post to determine what scribe seo thought about my seo copywriting skills.
Here are those results…..
If you look at my previous post it has my primary keyword in the first sentence but scribe says it is not there. How come it says this?
This is why scribe says this…. here are the keywords that scribe says I am going after…… and what keyword did you type in to find me?
Then scribe seo tells me that I have exceeded the recommended times for the keyword "seo" but I really have not it just can't identify the keyword "scribe seo" just like lissie's scribe seo review stated.
Then the final yellow flag is that I don't have a hyperlink in the first of my post but that was going to be added when I linked to this post.
So what I gather here is that if Scribe SEO actually performed on it's keyword analysis then I would have a score much more near 100%.
Just because you get a high score with this tool does not mean you will rank for those keywords in this lifetime.
On page optimization is just a sliver of what needs to be done. That is why you need to learn how to find profitable keywords in your market and also learn how to rank for those keywords.
Question?
What good is an optimized page in position (111) on Google search?
Answer:
No Good! No one looks that far into the search results.
How do you get to the front page of search?
- You do your keyword research (no reason to spend time on non profitable keywords (like Scribe SEO for me) or… to high of competition keywords)
- You write your awesome jaw dropping content and publish to your site. You tell other sites in your market about it and build back links.
- You write more content and submit it to other blogs, directories with more back links coming back to you with the keyword you want to rank for in the context.
- You build as many back links as you can white hat of course. Good content will also get natural linking
If you want to understand backlinks better here is a recommend of mine. It really is a back link classroom. Allyn Hane at Blogger Illustrated will teach you everything you need to know about back links. Because they truly are the deciding factor of what position your page is located in the search results.
I will analyze this post with scribe seo and see how I did.
Not bad, Not Bad, hehe here are the results…………..
If Scribe SEO could determine what a keyword was it might be a nifty tool. I think I will stick to the free SEO Quake Tool, much better info, much more analyzing info as a matter of fact. Are you looking for another Scribe SEO Review?
Cheers

Dirk it looks like you are getting very, very similar results to those that I got, I got told I was using SEO too much too because the tool failed to identify it as part of a a longer phrase as distinct to the single word.
You know you really should write up the double indexing trick and fluff it up and sell it as the next big secret ebook for $47.77 !
Lissie I would write that ebook but, Andy Jenkins already beat me to the punch, about 2 years ago in his going natural course but I think it sold for hundreds of dollars.
And I don't want to ever get accused of selling rehashed old stuff!
I think they threw in a dvd with the ebook it adds value you know.
Most of the products that get sold never get used. Reality for the "I want to be a marketer/freelancer" type individual.
SEO copyrighting is easy and no software is going to make you sit down and do it.
Great info on double indexing Dirk. I was just working on this same thing on one of my money blogs. I could not remember if it made a difference if you linked out to more than one page or source. But I see that you are linking both to your previous post with SEO Scribe and to Lissie"s SEO Scribe review. Plus to Allyn's backlinking post. So I guess this is alright.
Denise the different links have different purposes. The links between the posts are the key for the double indented listing. I have not achieved that yet but the other links serve two purposes.
The links to Lissie's blog and Allyn's help them rank for those keywords that are the hyperlink. Plus they have great information that doesn't require you to pay and you actually get results if you implement the advice.
Back to the double indented listing I should have probably used a non exact keyword on one of the posts but I am getting excited for the results.
I have already made it to position #5 in Google search for the keyword Scribe SEO at my Data center (so far no back links) Brian can credit Scribe SEO for this if he wants even though scribe didn't give me the keyword Scribe SEO as a keyword I would rank for.
The reason I am already there is because it is a low competition keyword but it will bring allot of traffic, not necessarily happy traffic LOL.
Remember that the most important factor in SEO is back Links to your content. You can have the coolest blog or site in the world but people have to find it.
Well Dirk, perhaps I can help out and get a little juice to your post here on Scribe SEO. I was just getting ready to help Lis out and I'll see about working your post in.
Thanks for such a detailed response to my question on double indexing.
Denise,
Any time you need a hand just let me know.
I will be hooking you up with some juice, do I get to pick your keywords?
Looks like you already did….added you to follow…….
